Dragon
Star
At
night you hear him, his deep roar carrying for miles.
Looking up you see naught but stars.
Distant balls of fire and plasma,
Forever separated from you.
Then
one moves and grows larger,
Its shining light weaving soothing patterns
In the fabric of the night.
It
touches your soul, exposing in its light
Things you do not wish to see.
Then in its light you see that they are inconsequential;
They hurt but the star heals the wounds,
They sting but the light soothes the pain.
Their power is no more.
The
star descends, a dragon full of love and compassion.
Alighting on the ground, he takes you in his arms;
The Dragonstar has come to make you whole.
